Wrench Your Way to the Top: Diesel Mechanic Wanted!
Tired of fixing the same boring commuter cars?
Welcome to GFL, where we play with the big toys. We're talking massive front-loaders, high-pressure hydraulics, and enough torque to move a mountain. If you're the kind of person who sees a complex engine problem and thinks, 'Game on,' then you've just found your new home.
At GFL (Green For Life), we aren't just 'garbage men'-we're the Green Team. We keep the wheels turning on a cleaner planet, and our Mechanics are the rockstars who make it happen.
The 'Green' Perks
We don't just offer a job; we offer a lifestyle upgrade :
* Fat Paychecks: Competitive hourly rates + plenty of OT for those who want to hustle. Pay $33/hr. plus $2 work differential pay (pay can be increased based on experience and certifications/licenses)
* Gear Up: We help pay for your boots and your tools because we want you in top form. $150 Tool Allowance and yearly boot allowance
* Career Nitro: We don't just promote; we propel. Want to lead a shop? We'll show you the path.
* Total Coverage: Solid health, dental, and vision so you can take care of yourself and your family.
* Stability: People always have trash. We always have work. You'll never have to worry about a 'slow season' again.
What You'll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff)
* Mechanical Surgery: Deep-diving into the guts of our fleet to diagnose and fix the 'unfixable.'
* Hydraulic Heroics: Mastering the complex lifters and compactors that do the heavy lifting for the community.
* Tech Wizardry: Using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to talk to the trucks' brains.
* Shop Camaraderie: Working in a high-energy shop where the coffee is hot, the music is loud, and your teammates have your back.
'If it's got a turbo, a piston, or a massive hydraulic ram, you're the one we trust to keep it humming.' What We're Looking For
* A Grease Monkey with a Brain: You know your way around a diesel engine better than your own living room.
* Tool Collector: You've got a toolbox that's your pride and joy.
* Problem Solver: You don't just swap parts; you figure out why they broke.
* CDL Aspirations: If you have a Class A or B, awesome! If not, we'll help you get the credentials to drive the beasts you build.
