Job Title: Forklift Operator/Spotter (Back-Up)

Location: Spanaway, WA
Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday 2pm -10:30pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Spotter (Back-Up) / Forklift Operator to support warehouse and yard operations. This dual-role position will work 2 days per week as a Spotter and 3 days per week as a Forklift Operator , with flexibility to serve as a back-up Spotter on additional days as needed.

Candidates must be comfortable operating yard equipment, maneuvering trailers in tight warehouse yard spaces, and safely operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

A working interview will be required to demonstrate the ability to operate a spotter truck and safely maneuver trailers.

Pay Rates

• Forklift Operator (Temporary Pay): $24
• Spotter: $28
• CDL Spotter: $30.00/hour

Employees will be paid the applicable rate based on the role and hours worked. Training will be provided on how to properly code/transfer hours when working in the Spotter role.

Key Responsibilities

Spotter Duties:

• Operate spotter truck to move and position trailers within the yard
• Safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces
• Coordinate with warehouse and dock teams
• Perform equipment safety checks
• Follow all yard safety procedures and communication protocols

Forklift Operator Duties:

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trailers
• Move product within warehouse
• Maintain productivity and safety standards
• Perform routine equipment inspections

Requirements

• Prior forklift experience required
• Prior yard hostler/spotter experience preferred
• Ability to maneuver trailers in tight yard spaces
• Must successfully complete a working interview
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL preferred for higher pay tier
• Must be prepared to provide DMV/DPS driving record upon request
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills
