Senior Technical Specialist – Advant Systems

In this role, you will work as a Senior Technical Specialist – Advant Systems (AC450 and Safeguard), drawing on your experience with 800x A and AC800 M series controllers. You will be responsible for executing medium and complex service jobs and migration projects, adhering to standard ABB processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. You will proactively communicate with both customer sales and ABB teams to ensure you understand customer needs and capitalize on business opportunities for penetration and expansion. This role contributes to the Energy Industries Process Automation division in Doha, Qatar.

Perform complex medium to high service tasks in the Advant system such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, retrofits and repair independently, identify technical problems and conduct analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacement, upgrades and retrofits, end-of-life service, etc.). Performing simple to medium service tasks in the AC800 M system such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and analysis through remote or on-site activity in various service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacement, upgrades and retrofits, end-of-life service, etc.). Ensuring customer satisfaction by carrying out service work according to the customer's request and expectations. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and understand their needs. Identify new sales opportunities and effectively persuade customers to adopt the full service portfolio. Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring the availability of all materials, spare parts, and equipment of the appropriate quality for service activities. Prepare standardized lists for ease of operation. Prepare all documents and reports for the client's representative to sign. Report on completed work in a timely manner and follow up as needed. Establish job standards or deadlines. Proactively identify potential equipment failures and corrective actions.
