Account Manager (IT Staffing)

Grow your career. Make an impact connecting people and opportunity. Earn big.

Are you a tech-savvy, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building partnerships and closing deals? At Procom, our purpose is to help people make progress — and our brand promise is to deliver the right talent faster and easier than anyone else. We connect exceptional technology talent with leading organizations across North America, and in Chicago, that means building relationships with some of the most dynamic companies in the market.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Account Manager based in Chicago who's passionate about sales, motivated by success, and eager to work with a team that gives you the tools, data, and support to win. We look for people with a growth mindset — who see every deal, every "no," and every market shift as data to learn from, not a verdict on ability.

This is more than a sales job; it's a chance to find your voice and unlock your potential — building a long-term career with a company where you can control your earnings, leverage leading-edge technology, and deliver best-in-class service to clients that count on us.

Why Procom?

Uncapped Earning Potential

Your success drives your rewards. Our compensation plan comprises a base salary plus commission structure that lets top performers earn well above industry averages.

From AI-enabled sourcing platforms and real-time CRM dashboards to advanced sales intelligence tools, you'll have everything you need to identify opportunities and close deals efficiently.

All-in Team Support

You're not doing it alone. We believe in collaboration as co-creation, not just buy-in — partner with one of the most skilled recruiting teams in the industry, along with dedicated marketing, operations, and technology support, so you can focus on what you do best: building relationships and driving growth.

Career Growth & Development

We're growing, and so can you. Learn from experienced sales leaders, access world-class training, and chart a clear path to senior sales or leadership roles.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the full sales cycle in the Chicago market — from prospecting and networking to closing and expanding client relationships.
• Engage new clients across the technology and professional services sectors, introducing Procom's full range of workforce solutions.
• Partner with our Recruitment team, co-creating candidate presentations that showcase the best fit for your clients — not just handing off a request, but genuinely shaping the solution together.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing clients with insights on market trends, compensation, and talent availability.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders with open communication — transparent, constructive, and honest — to deliver seamless service and exceed client expectations.
• Stay agile and adapt to evolving market needs and client priorities with confidence, positivity, and speed.

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of professional IT staffing sales experience or 3+ years of technical recruitment experience with proven sales outcomes.
• A track record of hitting or exceeding targets and proactively developing new client relationships through cold calls, referrals, and networking.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• A collaborative mindset — you show up present and stay open to outcomes rather than attached to a single approach.
• A proactive, positive attitude and genuine passion for connecting people and opportunity.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Why Work at Procom:

• Balanced Work Model: A modern hybrid work model based in our Chicago office, supporting productivity and personal flexibility.
• Work From Where You Thrive: Whether visiting family or exploring a new place, our remote-work program lets you temporarily work from another approved location for up to two weeks each year — keeping you connected wherever life takes you.
