Accountant

Al Haktur IT Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and support its day-to-day financial operations in Dubai . The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling invoices and payments, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with financial data and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records .
• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Verify financial documents and ensure transactions are properly authorized and recorded.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations .
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Review supplier statements and reconcile outstanding balances.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Monitor company expenses and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Prepare expense reports and assist management with financial information.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other accounting items.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning.
• Support the preparation of UAE VAT-related records and documentation .
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documents and schedules.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial files.
• Coordinate with management, HR, administration, procurement, and other departments regarding financial matters.
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
• Ensure accounting entries are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce , or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems .
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax compliance procedures is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting responsibilities.
