Responsibilities

Manage GL AP AR and reconciliations for project accountsPerform monthly closing and prepare financial reportsMaintain strong reconciliations and supporting documentationApply POC Percentage of Completion method and differentiate from invoicingHandle unbilled revenue and accruals WIP accounting Track project-wise costs and monitor cost allocationAccount for retention as receivable and ensure proper trackingRecognize Variation Orders VO only upon approvalManage advance payments and recovery treatmentHandle payment certificates and progress billingEnsure compliance with UAE VAT filing amp treatment Support audit processes and coordinate with auditorsMaintain proper financial records and documentationUtilize ERP systems for GL AP AR and Project modulesPerform data analysis using Excel Pivot reconciliation analysis Identify and resolve cost misallocation issuesClearly explain POC vs billing conceptsEnsure accuracy in project financial reporting and analysis strong

Job Overview

Must Have strong Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Finance or related field Mandatory Min 5 years of total accounting experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in rental equipment or construction or contracting industry Mandatory Must speak either Egyptian Arabic or Sudanese Arabic UAE GCC experience a must with familiarity in regional financial practices and compliance General Ledger GL accounting Accounts Payable AP and Accounts Receivable AR Bank supplier and customer reconciliations Experience handling monthly quarterly and year-end closing processes Ability to maintain accurate financial records and audit-ready documentation In-depth understanding of Revenue Recognition using Percentage of Completion POC method and clear distinction from invoicing Unbilled revenue Accruals and cost recognition Project cost tracking and cost allocation per project Retention accounting treated as receivable and tracked until release Variation Orders VO accounting recognized only upon approval Advance payments and recovery accounting treatment Payment certificates and progress billing cycles strong Nice to have strong VAT filing procedures Input output VAT treatment VAT reconciliation Basic understanding of UAE Corporate Tax regulations Experience in handling external and internal audits including preparing schedules and supporting documents Proven experience in project accounting and job costing environment strong
