International Community Schools (ICS) a leading group of schools with 6 branches in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the financial operations of our schools in Abu Dhabi and coordinate closely with our Kazakhstan branch . Therefore fluency in Russian is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
  
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records reconciliations and reports.
  
• Support accounts payable accounts receivable invoicing and payment processes.
  
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
  
• Coordinate financial information and documentation between the UAE and Kazakhstan teams.
  
• Communicate effectively with Russian-speaking colleagues and stakeholders in Kazakhstan.
  
• Assist with budgeting financial reporting and variance analysis.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies procedures and applicable regulations.
  
• Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
  
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field .
  
• Relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
  
• Fluency in Russian is mandatory.
  
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  
• Strong analytical organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across different locations and teams.
  
• Previous experience in the education/school sector in the UAE will be an advantage.
  
• Candidates currently based in the UAE or with relevant UAE experience will be preferred.
