Accounts & Administrative Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts & Administrative Officer to support the Company’s accounting and administrative operations.

The role will have a primary focus on accounting activities while also supporting general administrative requirements. The successful candidate will handle assigned accounting processes independently while supporting other financial and administrative activities as required. The scope of responsibilities may develop over time based on experience, performance, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle assigned day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial record-keeping activities.
• Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, purchase orders, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
• Handle assigned accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables, collections, payments, and required documentation.
• Perform or assist with bank reconciliations and investigate routine discrepancies.
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash and related records.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and internal/external audit requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, suppliers, banks, and other parties on routine accounting and administrative matters.
• Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, document control, filing, data entry, and record management.
• Coordinate routine office requirements and liaise with vendors and service providers as needed.
• Take ownership of specific accounting or administrative processes assigned by Management.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with an Accounting or Finance background preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts support, or a combined accounting and administrative role.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
• Practical experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial record-keeping.
• Experience in collections, receivables follow‑up, or credit control is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting software is preferred.
• Strong numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with the team.
• Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
