Accounts Receivable Manager

Title: AR Manager

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid- 3 days onsite)

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 + Bonus + Equity

Overview:

A publicly traded organization is seeking an experienced AR Manager to oversee accounts receivable accounting operations, month-end close activities, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement initiatives. This role will partner cross-functionally across finance and operations while supporting a complex, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable accounting and month-end close activities
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and external audits
• Manage billing, invoicing, and AR-related operational processes
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and SOX controls
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in a large, complex organization preferred
• ERP and account reconciliation software experience preferred
• CPA is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
