Student Development & Administrative Tasks Look after the students’ social and emotional needs. Observe pupils to determine changes in behavior or in other areas and report such observations to the classroom teacher. Work in a multi-disciplinary environment supporting the work of the teacher. Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding. Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development. Undertake administrative tasks as needed. Work within agreed timetables of school and pupil activities and to maintain all appropriate written records as necessary and as directed. Monitor and evaluate programs & progress daily. Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to pupils, parents, and ‘carers’ about student progress, achievements, and any problems that may have arisen. Work closely with other professionals like educational psychologists or physiotherapists Support the teacher with preparation, display and general classroom duties, including the organization and development of class planning. Assist with carrying out the students’ individual learning programs. Supervise pupils with SEN, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented. Accompany teaching staff with the range of educational activities designed to meet the needs of the individual or small group of pupils assigned. Help whenever necessary, with personal hygiene, advice, and guidance to pupils which includes taking the role of a ‘carer’ at times. Attend and contribute to all relevant meetings and case reviews verbally or in writing as directed Core Competencies: Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent, certification in SEN/ALN specialization Years of experience: 3 years minimum Area of experience required: Previous relevant experience or similar role working with SEN & ALN students using a variety of teaching methods appropriate for their needs. Professional Characteristics: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Sound understanding of child development and learning. Active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills. Solid dedication to establishing positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs. IT literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office Suites) Awareness of cultural sensitivity in a dynamic global setting
