Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Hybrid)
Company: ember Lifestyle - Luxury Travel & Experiential Design
Contract Duration: 6 months
Start Date: As soon as possible
ember is a luxury experiential studio shaping the future of travel, lifestyle and guest experience. We are the Middle East's first luxury experiential brand, endorsed by Forbes Travel Guide. From transformative journeys for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families to high-impact experiences for governments and global corporations. We design journeys, worlds and moments people remember forever.
We create stories that you'll tell forever.
ember is building a full-stack operating platform that strengthens how the business works: bringing together the applications, workflows, integrations and data foundations that support exceptional travel and experiences, while improving the productivity, efficiency and decision-making of the team. Intelligence is woven into the product rather than added as a separate tool.
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will be a key hands-on contributor to this build, working within the platform architecture and technical roadmap established by the Senior Applied AI Engineer. You will help turn modern AI capabilities and well-designed software into reliable internal products that make the team faster, better informed and more connected.
Full-Stack Product Features
Build and improve the user-facing and backend features of ember's operating platform. Work across application interfaces, APIs, services and data flows to turn real operational needs into straightforward, dependable software.
AI Features & Knowledge Workflows
Build and improve AI-powered features that help ember's team find, understand and use institutional knowledge. Develop retrieval and RAG workflows across client, supplier, journey and operational information, with clear source attribution.
Data & Integrations
Create ingestion and processing pipelines for structured and unstructured information. Connect internal and third-party systems through APIs and webhooks, helping turn fragmented information into useful, well-organised data.
Useful Internal Tools
Develop internal tools that support client profiling, journey planning, supplier research and matching, proposal and dossier generation, sourcing and operational recommendations. Build backend services, databases and APIs that make these capabilities dependable.
Reliability & Safeguards
Help test and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability and usefulness. Implement appropriate authentication, permissions, logging and safeguards for sensitive information.
Work within the architecture and roadmap established by the Senior Applied AI Engineer. Build defined features, integrations and AI workflows; test, debug, document and improve existing systems; and elevate major architectural, infrastructure or security decisions to the Senior Engineer. Collaborate closely with ember's internal team to translate operational needs into working software.
You are a thoughtful, hands-on builder who enjoys the practical side of AI: creating products that solve real problems rather than demonstrations that stop at the prototype stage. You are curious, resourceful and comfortable working across software, data and product detail.
You care about getting the details right. You test your work, ask good questions and take pride in making complex systems feel simple and dependable for their users.
You are comfortable in a fast-moving environment where the best solution becomes clearer through close collaboration and real-world use.
