Mint AI is a sovereign, Arabic-first applied-intelligence firm headquartered in Doha. We build AI that is Arabic-native by design and deploy it for government and enterprise across Qatar, GCC and the wider Middle East.

The role

Applied AI Engineers turn client problems into working AI solutions. You'll sit close to our clients and our Strategists. You'll build custom applications on top of Arabic-capable language models and ship them into real government and enterprise workflows. In this role, product thinking matters as much as engineering skill.

What you will do

• Design and build LLM applications, including retrieval systems, agents, document intelligence and conversational tools.
• Adapt models for Arabic, covering Modern Standard Arabic, Gulf dialects and bilingual content.
• Build rapid prototypes and demos that help clients see what's possible.
• Design prompts, retrieval pipelines and evaluation frameworks tuned to client data.
• Work directly with client teams to gather requirements and iterate on feedback.
• Harden prototypes into production systems with the AI Operations team.
• Share what you learn so it becomes reusable components and playbooks.
• Treat cultural accuracy as seriously as model accuracy, and design every application around the person it serves.

What you bring

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work building LLM applications.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern AI frameworks and vector databases.
• A solid grasp of RAG, agents, fine-tuning trade-offs and model evaluation.
• Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders.
• The ability to move fast, own outcomes and explain technical choices simply.
