Our client, a highly respected and industry-leading financial services organization, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with at least 8+ years of experience to join its in-house legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a corporate attorney with significant M&A, strategic transactions, and investment experience to play a key role in supporting the company's growth initiatives and long-term business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all legal aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, investments, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships from inception through closing and integration while advising business leaders on transaction structuring, risk assessment, due diligence, and execution strategy
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex transaction and commercial agreements
- Provide legal guidance on strategic partnerships, new business initiatives, and commercial relationships
- Support the management of the company's strategic investment portfolio, including governance matters, investment modifications, restructurings, and exits
- Assist with board and executive-level approval processes by preparing governance materials and coordinating internal approvals
- Advise the Enterprise Strategy and Corporate Development team on a broad range of strategic transactional matters
- Support corporate governance, contract management, and other corporate legal matters
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while promoting a culture of compliance
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary : $260,000 - $339,000
- Annual Bonus Target : 30% + LTI Package (after 1 year)
