Role Description:

Responsible for using specialized equipment to measure and mark property boundaries, calculating the dimensions, elevations, shapes, and contours of sites for public, government, and private development.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining sketches, drawings and reports of legal descriptions of surveys.
• Verifying data and calculations.
• Using all needed surveying instruments on site.
• Recording results of surveys.
• Calculating the measurements of sites.
• Writing descriptions of property boundaries.
• Responsible fully for the accuracy of levels and coordinates.
• Responsible for allocating the demarcation points, the zero level, Municipality bench Marker, gate levels, excavation level and all surveying aspects during the construction stage.

Person Specification:

• Basic understanding of land surveying principles, including geodesy, cartography, and boundary law.
• Knowledge of local regulations and building codes relating to land surveys.
• Proficient in using surveying instruments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and data collection
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and independently when needed
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, especially when dealing with complex land survey issues

Qualifications & Experience:

A diploma or degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field. Alternatively, a certification or vocational training in surveying is preferred.
