A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team and support new process, automation, and capital equipment projects. This is an opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, project execution, and cross-functional engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Support capital equipment, automation, and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release.
- Coordinate project activities, track action items, and support Project Managers in keeping projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, Operations, and external equipment suppliers.
- Participate in equipment design reviews and assist with vendor management.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, qualification, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and work with engineering teams and vendors to identify solutions.
- Create and maintain project, engineering, and validation documentation.
- Support projects directly on the manufacturing floor and help ensure equipment meets safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 0–2 years of engineering experience; internships, co-ops, and relevant academic projects count.
- Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter who can work independently after an initial ramp-up period.
