Atlas is excited to be working with a privately owned small animal hospital in Wadsworth, Ohio, serving a growing suburban community outside Akron and Cleveland. The practice has expanded significantly in recent years and now has a steady caseload that has created the need for another full-time veterinarian.
The hospital sees dogs and cats for preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, and general surgery. The surgical suite is equipped for soft tissue procedures and laparoscopic surgery, with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house blood and urine analyzers, blood pressure monitoring, and rigid scopes available onsite. A flexible endoscope is also being added as the practice continues to expand its capabilities.
The current team includes two full-time DVMs, three full-time RVTs/CVTs, three receptionists, and a part-time assistant, with additional relief coverage as needed. Technicians are cross-trained across appointments and surgery, with the aim of maintaining around 1.5 to 2 technicians per veterinarian. The owner is closely involved in the practice and places a strong emphasis on respectful communication and reasonable hours.
The client base is primarily made up of established suburban families who have continued to return as the surrounding community grows. That steady demand means doctors have a consistent caseload without needing to rely on high-volume scheduling, while the practice still has room to develop urgent care, extended hours, endoscopy, and additional surgical capabilities over time.
