Al Ghurair is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform vehicle diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and routine maintenance activities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves inspecting vehicle engines, mechanical components, electrical systems and onboard electronic systems to identify faults and carry out appropriate repairs. The successful candidate will also support junior technicians in resolving complex technical complaints and ensure that workshop tools and equipment remain in good working condition. Applicants must have at least 2-3 years of relevant automotive experience and hold a valid UAE driving licence. Experience working with multiple vehicle brands is a definite advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Diagnostics and Fault Identification

• Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical components to identify technical faults and performance issues.
• Diagnose electrical system problems and determine the appropriate repair requirements.
• Examine vehicle computer systems and electronic components to identify operational issues.
• Conduct accurate fault assessments to support effective maintenance and repair activities.
• Identify mechanical and electrical problems requiring corrective action.

Mechanical and Electrical Repairs

• Carry out repairs on vehicle mechanical and electrical components based on identified faults.
• Repair and maintain vehicle electronic systems to support reliable operation.
• Perform necessary upgrades to vehicle computer and electronic systems as required.
• Ensure repair activities address the diagnosed problems and restore vehicle functionality.
• Apply appropriate technical procedures when performing assigned maintenance and repair work.

Preventive and Routine Vehicle Maintenance

• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance to support performance, reliability and service life.
• Replace vehicle fluids as required during scheduled maintenance.
• Lubricate relevant mechanical components to maintain proper operation.
• Inspect vehicle systems during maintenance activities to identify potential problems.
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks with attention to accuracy and vehicle condition.

Technical Support and Team Coordination

• Assist junior technicians with complicated vehicle complaints and technical issues.
• Provide practical guidance during the diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical or electrical faults.
• Share relevant technical knowledge to support effective workshop operations.
• Coordinate with other technicians when additional assistance is required to resolve vehicle problems.

Workshop Tools and Equipment

• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Handle diagnostic equipment and repair tools carefully during assigned activities.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained to support accurate and efficient repairs.
• Identify equipment-related concerns that could affect maintenance or diagnostic work.

Qualifications and Experience

Professional Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Experience working with multiple vehicle brands.
• Previous hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with multi-brand vehicles is a definite advantage.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to inspect and diagnose vehicle engine problems.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical components.
