Mid Level AWS DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level AWS DevOps Engineer to join our technology team and support the design, automation, deployment, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and application environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, containers, monitoring, and automation .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on AWS .
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, and deployment.
• Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, and EKS .
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes .
• Automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages .
• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana .
• Implement cloud security, access controls, backup strategies, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and application-related issues.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to improve application reliability and deployment processes.
• Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field .
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services .
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
• Practical experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools .
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals .
• Experience with Git and version control workflows .
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or similar languages .
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator certification.
• Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and serverless architectures .
• Knowledge of Ansible or other configuration-management tools.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability platforms .
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud cost-optimization strategies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
