Back office operations subject matter expert

TMC Middle East is looking for a Back Office Operations Subject Matter Expert to join a leading financial institution in Doha, Qatar. This is a senior opportunity for a banking operations professional who thrives at the intersection of process excellence, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation. If you bring deep SME expertise across core back-office functions and want to drive meaningful operational change, we want to hear from you.

Own end-to-end back-office domains including payments, trade finance, treasury settlements, and reconciliations, designing improved workflows and driving straight-through processing via RPA and automation Represent Operations in core banking migration and digital transformation projects, authoring BRDs, supporting UAT, and coordinating with IT and vendors Ensure adherence to QCB regulations, AML/KYC requirements, AAOIFI standards for Islamic products, and internal control frameworks including maker-checker governance Define and track KPIs and SLAs, and develop and maintain SOPs, process manuals, and desk procedures Coach operations staff and serve as the senior escalation point for complex exceptions and cross-functional issues 8–12+ years in banking operations, with at least 3 years in a process lead, SME, or process improvement capacity Hands-on experience with a major core banking platform such as Temenos T24, Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, i MAL, or Path Solutions ETHIX Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards including MT/MX and ISO 20022 Ability to produce process maps (Visio, BPMN) and formal business analysis artifacts including BRDs and UAT plans Islamic or GCC banking background and relevant certifications (CIPA, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, CAMS) are a strong advantage

This role is strictly Onsite in Doha.
