Backend developer – python & go

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and hands-on Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our engineering team. The candidate should have strong expertise in Python, Go, and Postgre SQL , with a good understanding of building scalable backend systems and APIs.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can understand complex business requirements, design practical technical solutions, and independently build production-ready systems.

We also expect engineers to be comfortable using AI-powered development tools to improve coding productivity, debugging, testing, documentation, and overall engineering efficiency.

Exposure to AI, LLMs, or Agentic AI is a plus but not mandatory .

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Go . Build reliable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for enterprise applications. Design and optimize Postgre SQL databases, queries, schemas, indexes, and data models. Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Participate in system design and architecture discussions. Develop RESTful APIs and backend services that can scale with business requirements. Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code. Debug complex technical problems and perform root-cause analysis. Optimize application performance, database queries, and backend services. Work closely with frontend, Dev Ops, QA, and product teams. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. Use AI coding tools effectively for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and development assistance. Continuously evaluate and adopt modern engineering tools and practices.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience. Minimum qualification: B. Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field . B. E./B. Tech/MCA or equivalent qualifications are also welcome. Strong hands-on experience with Python . Good hands-on experience with Go (Golang) . Strong knowledge of Postgre SQL , including database design, SQL queries, indexing, optimization, and transactions. Experience building REST APIs and backend services . Good understanding of software architecture, design principles, data structures, and algorithms. Understanding of scalable and distributed backend systems. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Good knowledge of Git and modern software development practices. Strong problem-solving ability and a structured approach to technical challenges. Ability to use AI tools such as Chat GPT, Claude, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or similar tools effectively during software development.

AI-Assisted Development

The candidate should be comfortable working in an AI-assisted software development environment .

We expect the candidate to be able to:

Use AI tools to generate and improve code while maintaining ownership of the final implementation. Use AI for debugging and identifying potential issues. Generate unit and integration test cases using AI assistance. Use AI for code reviews, refactoring, and documentation. Understand how to write effective prompts for software development tasks. Validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability. Learn new frameworks, libraries, and technologies using AI-assisted research and development.

We are looking for engineers who use AI to become more productive—not engineers who blindly copy AI-generated code.

Experience in AI is not mandatory , but exposure to the following will be an advantage:

Good to Have

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Redis or other caching technologies. Exposure to Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Pub/Sub, or other messaging systems. Hands-on Linux experience. Experience working on Saa S or enterprise software products.
