Bdr Manager

About Cassidy

Cassidy is an AI automation platform that helps businesses build and deploy AI-powered workflows and agents across their organizations.

We are growing quickly. Since raising our Series A, Cassidy has grown approximately 8x, and we are continuing to invest aggressively in expanding our go-to-market organization. As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a BDR Manager to build and scale a world-class outbound sales development function.

This is a highly visible role with significant ownership. The BDR Manager will be responsible not only for managing the existing team, but for building the processes, culture, systems, and playbooks that allow the organization to scale.

The Role

The BDR Manager will own Cassidy's outbound sales development motion from end to end.

You will manage, coach, and develop our BDR team while continuously improving how we generate qualified pipeline. This includes cold calling, outbound email, account targeting, messaging, sequencing, performance management, hiring, onboarding, and collaboration with the broader sales organization.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating as both a manager and a builder. You should be excited to coach reps day to day, but equally excited to step back and determine how the entire BDR organization should operate as Cassidy grows.

Responsibilities

Lead and Develop the BDR Team

• Manage the day-to-day performance of the BDR organization, including activity levels, meetings generated, pipeline creation, conversion rates, and overall quota attainment.
• Coach BDRs regularly through call reviews, role-playing, objection handling, messaging feedback, and account strategy.
• Create a high-performance culture built around accountability, consistency, continuous improvement, and strong execution.
• Develop clear performance expectations, operating rhythms, and career paths for the team.

Build a Best-in-Class Cold Calling Motion

• Make cold calling a core strength of Cassidy's outbound organization.
• Develop and continuously improve talk tracks, call frameworks, objection handling, and prospecting strategies.
• Review calls regularly and provide specific coaching to improve rep effectiveness.
• Establish the activity standards, training programs, and management cadence needed to create a strong and consistent calling culture.
• Identify what is working across the team and turn those learnings into repeatable playbooks.

Own Outbound Email and Campaign Strategy

• Develop outbound email strategies across different industries, personas, account segments, and use cases.
• Work closely with the sales team to develop compelling messaging that resonates with senior decision-makers.
• Build, test, and optimize outbound campaigns, sequences, and messaging.
• Analyze performance across campaigns and continuously improve response rates, meeting conversion, and pipeline creation.
• Ensure email, calling, and account-based outreach work together as part of a coordinated outbound strategy.

Scale the BDR Organization

• Help determine the structure and operating model for the BDR team as Cassidy continues to grow.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new BDRs.
• Build repeatable onboarding and training programs that allow new team members to ramp quickly.
• Develop the processes, reporting, tooling, and management systems required to support a significantly larger organization.
• Partner with sales leadership on headcount planning, territory design, account coverage, and pipeline targets.

Partner Across the Sales Organization

• Work closely with AEs and sales leadership to ensure strong alignment between outbound activity and revenue goals.
• Improve the handoff between BDRs and AEs and ensure meetings generated by the team translate into high-quality sales opportunities.
• Use feedback from AEs and prospects to continuously improve targeting, messaging, qualification, and outbound strategy.
• Identify new market segments, personas, and outbound opportunities that can contribute to Cassidy's growth.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who has experience managing and scaling a high-performing BDR or SDR organization, ideally within a fast-growing B2B SaaS company.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of outbound sales and is deeply comfortable with both cold calling and outbound email. You know what great prospecting looks like because you have done it yourself and have successfully coached others to do it.

You are highly analytical and comfortable using activity, conversion, and pipeline data to identify problems and improve performance.

You are an excellent coach who can give specific, actionable feedback and raise the performance of individual reps.

You are also a builder. Rather than simply operating an existing system, you enjoy creating new processes, testing new approaches, and figuring out how to make an organization more effective as it grows.

Most importantly, you are excited by the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and build a function that can become a meaningful competitive advantage.

Why Cassidy

Cassidy is at an exciting stage of growth. Since our Series A, the company has grown approximately 8x, and we are still early in building the sales organization required for the opportunity ahead of us.

The BDR Manager will have the opportunity to directly shape one of the most important parts of our go-to-market engine. You will work closely with sales leadership, build and develop the team, and have significant influence over how Cassidy generates pipeline as we scale.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional frontline management role. We are looking for someone who wants to build the BDR organization, scale it alongside the company, and play a major role in Cassidy's next stage of growth.
