Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) delivers independent data-driven research and interactive datasets integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal helping investment professionals make decisions faster. BI combines analyst expertise with interactive data proprietary models and emerging technologies including AI and automation to deliver faster deeper and more differentiated research. With 500 research professionals BI provides company credit industry and strategy research across major global markets covering 135 industries and 2000 companies including perspectives on company fundamentals as well as government policy litigation and ESG. Our research and datasets are delivered through curated Terminal dashboards and interactive research decks with underlying data typically one click away drawing on proprietary Bloomberg sources and 600 data contributors.

BI is looking for a lead fixed income strategist to cover the Middle East & Africa and the GCC region as a complement to its broader credit and emerging market strategy offering within the growing fixed income research business.

Whats in it for you:

You will be the lead strategist on all MENA and GCC fixed income. The role will start with a shared Associate support to help the franchise take off immediately. The strategist will work closely with the global credit strategy team as well as partners within the Bloomberg ecosystem to deliver best possible product for our clients.

Well trust you to:

Generate qualitative and quantitative research for Bloombergs global user base.
Candidates must be strong communicators adept at data management curation and derivation and have a firm understanding of regional debt markets as well as the Bloomberg terminal Given associate support leadership mentoring guiding teaching and directing workflows are crucial.

You need to have:

• A minimum of 10 years professional experience analyzing and / or trading the asset class
• Exceptional communication skills written and verbal
• Experience/understanding of Islamic finance is essential

• Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues
• Ability and willingness to integrate frontier technologies including generative AI and automation to improve research efficiency quality and data-driven analysis.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg data and the Bloomberg family of indices
• Bachelors Degree as a minimum

Wedlove to see:

• Masters or PhD would be great
• Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal and Indices
• Strong Excel and / or python programming skills
