The Erosion Company (TEC) is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Business Development Manager – Heavy Civil to help expand our presence in the heavy civil construction, infrastructure, and large-scale development markets.

This is an opportunity for an experienced business development professional who knows the construction industry, understands how major projects are awarded, and has the relationships necessary to generate meaningful business opportunities.

We are not looking for someone to simply manage existing accounts. We are looking for a true business developer — someone who knows how to identify opportunities, build strategic relationships, and turn those relationships into revenue.

The Opportunity

As our Business Development Manager – Heavy Civil, you will play a critical role in driving new business, expanding market share, and positioning TEC as a preferred partner on major construction and infrastructure projects.

You will focus on developing relationships and pursuing opportunities within:

• Heavy Civil Construction & Infrastructure
• Highway, Roadway & DOT Projects
• Large-Scale Site Development & Earthwork
• Industrial & Commercial Construction
• Data Centers & Mission-Critical Facilities
• Renewable Energy & Solar Projects
• Utilities & Underground Infrastructure
• Large-Scale Land Development

What You'll Do

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities throughout targeted markets.
• Leverage existing relationships with general contractors, developers, EPC firms, and construction executives.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers, including project executives, construction managers, and senior leadership.
• Identify major projects during the planning, design, and preconstruction phases.
• Develop strategic business development plans to increase revenue and market share.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, and leadership teams to pursue and secure new projects.
• Represent TEC at industry events, networking opportunities, and customer meetings.
• Track business development activity, market opportunities, and sales performance.
• Consistently identify new customers, develop relationships, and generate profitable business.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who knows the heavy civil construction industry and already has the relationships to make an immediate impact.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Proven business development or outside sales experience within heavy civil construction, infrastructure, or related construction services.
• Established relationships with general contractors, developers, EPC contractors, and infrastructure decision-makers.
• A demonstrated track record of generating new business and expanding market share.
• Experience pursuing large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of the construction sales cycle, including project identification, preconstruction, bidding, and contract awards.
• The ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and successfully close business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to succeed.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned markets to develop business opportunities.
