Title: Business Development Executive – IT Staffing & Solutions
Location: NYC, NY / New Jersey
Company: Amtex Systems Inc.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Amtex Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Executive to drive new client acquisition across Florida and the Southeast United States. This is a new-logo, hunter-style sales position focused on identifying target companies, opening doors with decision-makers, developing relationships, and converting prospects into new Amtex clients.
We are specifically looking for a seasoned IT staffing and solutions sales professional with an established network of client and industry relationships who can hit the ground running from day one . The ideal candidate already has relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT leaders, HR/Talent Acquisition executives, Procurement professionals, and other decision-makers and can leverage those relationships to quickly generate qualified conversations and new business opportunities.
This is not a traditional account management position . The primary focus is opening new doors, winning new clients, and creating new revenue opportunities.
Once a new client account is established and successfully onboarded, the relationship will be transitioned to an Amtex Account Manager for ongoing account management and delivery. The Business Development Executive will then move on to identifying and opening the next new client opportunity.
The ideal candidate is a true hunter who enjoys prospecting, networking, leveraging existing relationships, opening doors, building executive-level relationships, and winning new business.
Key Responsibilities
New Client Acquisition
- Identify and target new companies that have a need for IT staffing, consulting, and technology solutions.
- Leverage an existing network of business and technology relationships to generate immediate sales opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients throughout Florida and the Southeast.
- Research organizations, industries, technology environments, hiring trends, and key decision-makers to identify opportunities.
- Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, VPs of Technology, HR leaders, Procurement, Talent Acquisition, and other technology and workforce decision-makers.
- Generate new business through existing relationships, referrals, cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, industry events, and other prospecting channels.
- Create and execute account-based prospecting strategies for high-value target organizations.
- Secure introductory meetings and discovery calls with prospective clients.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand IT staffing, project, workforce, and technology needs.
- Present Amtex’s IT staffing and solutions capabilities and position the company as a strategic technology workforce partner.
Opportunity Development & Closing
- Manage prospects through the business development and sales cycle from initial contact through client approval.
- Develop proposals, capability presentations, pricing discussions, and solution approaches in coordination with Amtex leadership and internal teams.
- Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate the steps required to establish new client accounts.
- Work closely with recruiting, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure Amtex can effectively support the client’s requirements.
- Drive prospects toward signed agreements, approved vendor status, staffing opportunities, and initial requisitions.
- Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline information within the company’s CRM/ATS and sales systems.
Client Onboarding & Transition
- Serve as the primary business development contact through the initial client onboarding process.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active client.
- Establish the initial relationship, understand the client’s business and technology environment, and identify immediate opportunities.
- Once the account is established and ready for ongoing delivery, transition the client to the appropriate Amtex Account Manager.
- Provide the Account Manager with relevant account intelligence, contacts, opportunities, requirements, and relationship history.
- Continue prospecting and focus efforts on opening the next new client account.
Territory Development
- Develop a strong presence across Florida and the Southeast U.S.
- Leverage existing professional relationships while continuously expanding the candidate’s network of technology and business decision-makers.
- Identify companies with recurring IT hiring needs, project requirements, digital transformation initiatives, ERP/CRM implementations, data and analytics initiatives, cloud projects, application development needs, and other technology requirements.
- Develop strategic target-account lists and consistently create new opportunities within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful B2B business development, new-logo sales, or client acquisition experience , preferably within IT staffing or technology services.
- Established relationships and a demonstrable network of technology, HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, and business decision-makers.
- Experience selling IT staffing, technology services, consulting, professional services, managed services, or related solutions strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of opening new accounts and generating revenue through outbound business development.
- Ability to hit the ground running and begin producing qualified opportunities quickly.
- Strong understanding of the IT staffing and technology services marketplace.
- Demonstrated success selling to enterprise and mid-market organizations.
- Experience selling to CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, VPs of Technology, HR/Talent Acquisition leaders, Procurement, and other senior stakeholders.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills.
- Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, networking events, conferences, and other business development activities throughout the territory.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position is measured primarily by new client acquisition , not by managing an existing book of business.
The successful candidate will:
- Bring an existing network of relationships and immediately begin opening doors.
- Consistently identify and engage new target accounts.
- Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities quickly.
- Build relationships with senior technology and business decision-makers.
- Secure new client agreements and vendor relationships.
- Convert newly acquired clients into active Amtex accounts.
- Successfully transition established accounts to Amtex Account Managers.
- Immediately return to prospecting and opening the next new account.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of new logos and revenue across Florida and the Southeast.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a proven hunter, not someone who needs to build a network from scratch .
The ideal candidate has spent several years selling IT staffing and/or technology solutions, has an established book of relationships, understands how to navigate enterprise organizations, knows how to reach the right decision-makers, and has a demonstrated ability to turn relationships into new business.
If you have an established network, a track record of opening new accounts, and the ability to hit the ground running from day one, we want to hear from you.
