Buyer

Senior Buyer - Wanaque, NJ

We are looking for an experienced Associate Buyer / Procurement professional to join our team at our NJ manufacturing facility.

We're especially interested in candidates with approximately 5–8 years of purchasing/procurement experience and a strong background purchasing components or parts within a manufacturing environment

This is more than a transactional purchasing role. You'll play a key part in keeping production moving for a stable, established manufacturer of custom, high-end architectural lighting solutions.

Why does this opportunity stand out:

- Health benefits, 12 paid holidays and a 3% 401(k) contribution

- Join a very stable company with an established manufacturing operation.

- Purchase components supporting custom, high-end products where you can see the direct impact of your work on the manufacturing floor

- Take ownership of component purchasing, forecasting, inventory requirements, supplier relationships and shortage resolution

- Work and negotiate with international suppliers

- Potential international travel to suppliers overseas

- Work in an Oracle ERP/MRP environment and gain exposure to our planned transition to SAP in 2027

- Significant knowledge-transfer opportunity working alongside a team member with approximately 20 years of experience in the role

Experience with ERP/MRP systems, forecasting, inventory planning, supplier negotiations, material shortages and overseas vendors will be important.

Lighting industry experience is a plus but not required. If you're a strong manufacturing buyer who doesn't check every single box, we'd still like to hear from you.
