Seeking a procurement professional with 3+ years of experience managing Rubber & Plastics commodities. Experience with supplier development, market analysis, and strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for Rubber & Plastics commodities.
- Develop supplier strategies and manage supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support annual cost-reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers while ensuring supply continuity.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Analyze market trends, material costs, and industry conditions to support sourcing decisions.
- Manage supply chain risks, including tariff impacts and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams on key initiatives.
- Support new product launches through effective supplier selection and sourcing execution.
- Maintain sourcing documentation, reporting, and category analysis.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain.
- Experience sourcing Rubber & Plastics commodities preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Analytical skills including cost analysis, financial evaluation, and market research.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management abilities.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, ISM, APICS, or similar are a plus.
