Carpenter - Construction Worker As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects including residential homes, commercial buildings, and other construction sites. Your main duties will include measuring, cutting, shaping, joining, and installing materials according to blueprints and building codes.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience working as a Carpenter or a similar position in the construction industry. You should be detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks. Knowledge of different carpentry techniques and tools is also necessary.
Responsibilities
Study blueprints and building plans to determine project requirements
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools
Join materials using nails, screws, staples or adhesives
Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimwork etc.
Repair or replace damaged components
Follow safety regulations and building codes at all times
Requirements
Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with carpentry techniques and tools
Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations
Physically fit with good manual dexterity
Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
