Carpenter - Furniture Maker
Our company in Ajman is seeking a skilled Carpenter - Furniture Maker to join our team. This position is suitable for men of any nationality with or without experience, as long as they have a passion for carpentry and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair furniture using various types of wood and other materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using rulers, marking gauges, or computers
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and form pieces according to specifications
- Assemble furniture components using glue, screws, dowels or other fasteners
- Sand and finish completed furniture pieces to ensure smooth surfaces
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or Furniture Maker
- Excellent knowledge of woodworking techniques and methods
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Basic math skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing, bending, lifting heavy materials
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Nationality preference: Indian or Filipino
We offer a starting salary of 1500$ per month (based on experience) plus visa sponsorship.
