Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate cash register throughout the shift
- Greet customers courteously and provide assistance when needed
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Count money in the cash drawer at the start of shift to ensure that amounts are correct
- Handle returns in accordance with company policy
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets to customers
- Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures or policies when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous experience as a cashier is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math skills is necessary
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
