As a Chartered Accountant at AI Muhaseb, you own the numbers for a portfolio of UAE clients — from clean, IFRS double-entry books to VAT returns and Corporate Tax computations. You work hand-in-hand with our software and AI assistant, using them to move faster while applying the professional judgement that only a qualified accountant can. You will also help shape how the product handles real UAE accounting and compliance.
Responsibilities - Own monthly bookkeeping and close for a portfolio of UAE clients, ensuring IFRS-compliant, reconciled books
- Prepare and review VAT returns (VAT 201) and manage FTA filing timelines
- Produce financial statements and management reports, and explain them to clients
- Review work of junior accountants and maintain quality and documentation standards
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on accounting and tax questions
- Feed real-world accounting and compliance requirements back into the product team
Requirements - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent)
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on UAE accounting experience
- Practical experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and double-entry bookkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort owning client relationships
- Fluent English; based in or willing to relocate to the UAE
Preferred qualifications - Big 4 experience preferred
- Experience in an outsourced accounting / practice environment serving multiple clients
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software and automation
