CoilTOOLS Specialist – Fishing & Milling
Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced CoilTOOLS Specialist to join our client’s operations in Qatar on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, preparation, inspection, redress, and management of CoilTOOLS assets, including fishing and milling equipment.
This role requires strong hands‑on technical experience, excellent workshop knowledge, and the ability to ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and prepared to operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, preparation, testing, and redress of CoilTOOLS equipment.
- Prepare and maintain fishing and milling tools for field operations.
- Inspect and service hydraulic/mechanical jars, accelerators, junk baskets, overshots, mills, motors, and associated Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) components.
- Manage workshop activities, equipment readiness, and asset maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, equipment tracking, and asset documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Provide technical support for fishing and milling operations.
- Ensure all equipment meets company quality, safety, and operational standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on CoilTOOLS experience – essential.
- Proven experience in fishing and milling tool preparation, maintenance, inspection, and redress.
- Strong technical knowledge of downhole fishing and milling equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic/mechanical jars, accelerators, overshots, junk baskets, mills, motors, and BHA components.
- Previous workshop maintenance and asset management experience.
- Knowledge of inventory control and equipment tracking systems.
- Experience supporting fishing and milling field operations.
- Offshore experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to mobilise to Qatar at short notice.
