Commercial Lending & Finance Partner (10+ yrs) – Modest Book of Business Required

About the Position:

Our client, a premier Chicago law firm, is actively seeking an experienced commercial lending and finance attorney to join its Chicago office as a partner. The group represents both lenders and borrowers across commercial, asset-based, and real estate lending matters. Its clients include secured lenders, unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, and companies in financial distress.

Responsibilities:

· Represent middle-market lenders and borrowers on commercial, asset-based, and real estate lending transactions

· Structure, negotiate, and prepare credit agreements and related documents for acquisition financings and syndicated loans on behalf of private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and lenders

· Counsel clients on construction, industrial, and mezzanine financings, including lien perfection and intercreditor matters

· Advise secured lenders, unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, and distressed companies on financial services and restructuring matters

Required Qualifications:

· 10+ years of sophisticated financial services experience

· Deep knowledge of secured transactions, lien perfection, intercreditor agreements, and related regulatory issues

· Track record of handling acquisition financings and syndications for private equity clients and lenders

· Portable book of business of $400K+ preferred

Location:

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $350,000 - $500,000.
