Consultant Anesthesiology

Role Description

The Consultant Anesthesiology role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The consultant will provide comprehensive anesthesia care, including pre-operative assessment, planning and administration of anesthesia, intraoperative monitoring, and post-operative pain management and recovery oversight. Daily responsibilities include collaborating closely with surgical teams, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes, as well as participating in multidisciplinary case discussions. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to local regulatory and hospital guidelines, contributing to clinical audits, and engaging in continuous professional development and training activities.

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completed specialist training in Anesthesiology.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Anesthesiology.
• Valid or eligible license to practice Anesthesiology in the UAE, with willingness to complete local licensing requirements.
• Proven experience in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, sedation techniques, and perioperative pain management or Critical care.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and emergency response in operative and critical care settings.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and adherence to ethical and safety standards.
• Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, teaching, or mentoring within an academic or clinical environment.
• Previous experience in a tertiary care or high-volume surgical center is preferred.
