Consultant Emergency Medicine

Role Description

The Consultant Emergency Medicine role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The consultant will provide advanced emergency care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and life-threatening conditions for patients of varying ages. Daily responsibilities include supervising emergency department teams, coordinating with other specialists, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and participating in multidisciplinary case discussions. The role involves overseeing triage processes, guiding junior doctors and nursing staff, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and quality of care. The consultant will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and training activities within the emergency department.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical expertise in Emergency Medicine, with board certification or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general Medicine and ability to manage complex acute presentations.
• Experience in Cardiology-related emergencies, including assessment and stabilization of cardiac patients.
• Demonstrated ability in Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Experience in Training and mentoring junior clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in the United Arab Emirates.
• Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and ethical clinical standards.
