Consultant Pediatrician

Role Description

The Consultant Pediatrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Consultant Pediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinics and inpatient rounds, supervising junior medical staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and safety standards. The role involves communicating clearly with families and caregivers, providing education about preventive care, vaccinations, and chronic disease management. The Consultant Pediatrician will also participate in continuous quality improvement, maintain accurate medical records, and support training and mentorship activities within the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of pediatric conditions.
• Advanced skills and experience in Pediatrics, including comprehensive care for children and adolescents.
• Recognized medical degree and board certification or equivalent in Pediatrics; additional certification in Neonatology is an advantage.
• Valid or eligibility for medical licensure in Dubai or the United Arab Emirates, in accordance with local regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to counsel families and provide clear, compassionate explanations of diagnoses and treatments.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
• Experience in hospital or clinic-based pediatric practice, with a track record of safe, high-quality patient care.
