As a Consultant/ Specialist Physiatrist in Dubai you will lead comprehensive rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring function improving quality of life and optimizing recovery for patients with acute and chronic physical impairments.
Role Overview As a Consultant/ Specialist Physiatrist in Dubai you will lead comprehensive rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring function improving quality of life and optimizing recovery for patients with acute and chronic physical impairments. Key Responsibilities Assess diagnose and manage patients with musculoskeletal neurological and functional impairments Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for conditions such as stroke spinal cord injuries traumatic brain injuries chronic pain and sports injuries Perform interventional procedures including joint injections nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided treatments Collaborate closely with physiotherapists occupational therapists speech therapists and pain specialists for multidisciplinary care Monitor patient progress functional outcomes and adjust rehabilitation plans accordingly Provide post-operative rehabilitation guidance in coordination with orthopedic and neurosurgical teams Lead pain management strategies including non-surgical and minimally invasive approaches Educate patients and families on recovery pathways lifestyle modifications and preventive care Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA and international healthcare standards Participate in clinical audits quality improvement initiatives and continuous medical education
Eligibility & Board RecognitionWe are seeking Board Certified PM&R Specialists / Consultants from globally recognised systems:American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)UK CCT / GMC Specialist RegisterEuropean Board CertificationCanadian / Australian FellowshipArab Board / FCPS / MD PM&RMinimum 35 years post-board experience preferredDHA License eligibility or active license is an advantage
