Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Thoracic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive post-fellowship experience in thoracic surgery, with strong expertise in complex thoracic procedures and minimally invasive techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality specialist care for patients with thoracic surgical conditions.
- Perform a broad range of open, minimally invasive and thoracoscopic procedures .
- Manage complex thoracic and pulmonary conditions, including thoracic malignancies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams involving oncology, pulmonology, radiology and other specialties.
- Conduct outpatient consultations, pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Support teaching, training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
Requirements
- Medical degree with appropriate specialist qualifications in Thoracic Surgery .
- Completion of a recognized sub-specialty fellowship in Thoracic Surgery .
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience after completion of the sub-specialty fellowship.
- Strong experience in complex thoracic surgical procedures.
- Preferred: Formal training or experience in robotic thoracic surgery.
- Experience with minimally invasive thoracic surgery/VATS is highly desirable.
- Excellent clinical, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Eligible for professional registration/licensing in Saudi Arabia (SCFHS) .
