Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 + 10-20% bonus

Location: Hybrid | North County San Diego, 3 days onsite

Overview: Growing global public company seeking an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, oversee month-end close, drive process improvements, and mentor a high-performing accounting team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Manage and develop accounting staff
• Drive automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and business leaders
• Support audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• 9 -15 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GL accounting and month-end close expertise
• Experience leading or mentoring an accounting team
• Knowledge of SOX, audit, and internal controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• Public company experience
• Manufacturing and/or SaaS experience
• Multi-entity accounting background
• ERP system experience
