Deli/JIT Supervisor (Cooler Supervisor)
Location: Allentown, PA (12PM Start time)
Salary: Up to $55,000 annually, based on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Deli/JIT Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day deli shipping, pulling, receiving, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution center in Allentown, PA.
The Deli/JIT Supervisor will lead warehouse associates while ensuring daily operations meet established safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipping goals . The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or distribution center leadership experience and is comfortable coordinating employees, product movement, inbound/outbound activity, and daily operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Distribution Operations
- Supervise daily deli/JIT shipping, pulling, receiving, and warehouse activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including docks, aisles, break areas, restrooms, and shipping offices.
- Schedule and allocate staff to effectively support operations across a 7-day workweek .
- Conduct daily departmental start-up meetings to review volume, expectations, priorities, and safety topics.
- Prepare for shift turnover meetings and review:
- Daily inbound volume
- HOT and cross-dock receiving/shipping status
- Carryover work from previous shifts
- Employee call-offs and staffing needs
- Scheduled overtime
- Ensure all products are properly received, stored, pulled, and prepared for shipment.
- Implement and maintain auditing procedures as needed.
- Coordinate with yard personnel to ensure the appropriate trailers are positioned for outbound loading.
- Communicate with transportation regarding load status and potential delays.
- Support the implementation of new company policies and operational procedures.
- Work closely with associates to maintain productivity and quality expectations.
- Research and assist management with customer mis-ship complaints and operational issues.
- Review and validate employee timesheets for payroll purposes.
Product & Inventory Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency throughout receiving, storage, pulling, and shipping operations.
- Perform routine visual inspections to help ensure merchandise quality.
- Partner with Inventory Control to identify and communicate inventory discrepancies.
- Reduce product damage through employee training, accountability, and proper handling procedures.
- Ensure products are stored and moved according to established warehouse procedures.
Leadership & Supervision
- Monitor and direct the daily performance of warehouse operational staff.
- Evaluate employee performance through observations and performance reviews.
- Coach and develop associates to improve productivity and performance.
- Implement corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary and in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure employees comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Review and update assigned employee timesheets daily.
- Develop Lead Warehouse Associates and direct reports to strengthen leadership skills and support career development.
- Assist management in controlling warehouse cost per case while meeting operational targets.
- Support departmental goals related to fill rate, on-time shipments, productivity, and OSHA recordable injury rates.

Minimum Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or distribution center supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in wholesale, food distribution, grocery distribution, deli/cooler operations, or a similar high-volume environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and hold warehouse employees accountable.
- Basic computer literacy and experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) .
- Understanding of receiving, shipping, order pulling, inventory, and warehouse workflows.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple operational priorities.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, productivity, and accuracy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and overtime when required.
Compensation
Up to $55,000 annually, based on experience + yearly bonus eligibility.
