Role Context

The Corporate Tax Director will provide strategic, technical, and commercial leadership across the UAE Corporate Tax Advisory practice. The position combines complex tax problem-solving with practice development, executive stakeholder management, team leadership, and financial accountability. By delivering high-quality advisory work and identifying new opportunities, the director will strengthen client relationships, enhance the service offering, and support sustainable practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE Corporate Tax and International Tax Advisory engagements across a broad range of industries and business structures.
• Advise clients on UAE Corporate Tax obligations, tax structuring, transactions, and cross-border considerations.
• Provide senior guidance on Transfer Pricing matters and coordinate specialist input where required.
• Interpret UAE Corporate Tax legislation, Federal Tax Authority guidance, and related regulatory developments.
• Translate technical tax requirements into practical recommendations aligned with client operations and commercial objectives.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and other senior decision-makers.
• Act as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters, transactions, restructuring, and strategic business decisions.
• Identify new advisory opportunities within existing client accounts and across the wider UAE market.
• Lead business development activity, including proposals, pitches, commercial discussions, and engagement scoping.
• Develop the Corporate Tax Advisory offering in response to emerging market requirements and regulatory changes.
• Expand client portfolios through relationship management, referrals, and targeted business development.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities supporting agreed revenue targets.
• Oversee engagement quality, technical review, resource planning, documentation, and timely delivery.
• Review significant tax positions and ensure recommendations are technically sound and commercially relevant.
• Monitor engagement economics, including fees, budgets, utilisation, margins, and profitability.
• Contribute to practice forecasting, revenue planning, growth objectives, and overall P&L performance.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Corporate Tax team.
• Develop managers and consultants through technical coaching, delegation, client exposure, and performance guidance.
• Monitor UAE Corporate Tax developments, FTA guidance, Transfer Pricing requirements, and relevant GCC tax changes.
• Evaluate regulatory developments for client impact and convert emerging needs into advisory opportunities.
• Collaborate with VAT, Transfer Pricing, finance, accounting, legal, and transaction specialists on multidisciplinary engagements.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior Corporate Tax and International Tax professional with strong experience in the UAE market and a detailed understanding of Dubai 's business environment. Advanced technical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax is essential. Transfer Pricing experience is preferred, together with practical exposure to tax structuring, transactions, and complex advisory matters. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong record of managing senior client relationships and sophisticated engagements involving CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and other executive stakeholders. Experience gained within a Big 4 firm, leading professional services organization, or established tax advisory practice is preferred. Previous responsibility for business development, practice expansion, service-line management, or a substantial client portfolio will be advantageous. CA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred. Strong commercial judgment, leadership capability, communication skills, and stakeholder management are required, together with the ability to balance technical quality, client expectations, revenue, team development, and profitability.
