Role Context The Corporate Tax Director will provide senior technical and commercial direction across the UAE Corporate Tax Advisory practice. The position requires more than technical tax knowledge, combining complex engagement leadership with client development, practice growth, team management, and financial accountability. The director will help clients navigate an evolving tax environment while strengthening the quality, market position, and profitability of the advisory function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE Corporate Tax and International Tax Advisory engagements across diverse business models and transaction structures.
• Advise clients on Corporate Tax obligations, tax structuring, transactions, and cross-border considerations.
• Provide senior guidance on Transfer Pricing matters and coordinate specialist support where appropriate.
• Interpret UAE Corporate Tax legislation, Federal Tax Authority guidance, and related regulatory requirements.
• Translate technical tax provisions into practical recommendations aligned with client operations and commercial objectives.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and other senior stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted adviser on tax-sensitive transactions, restructuring initiatives, and strategic business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to expand Corporate Tax and International Tax services within existing client accounts.
• Generate new business through executive relationships, referrals, professional networks, and targeted market activity.
• Lead proposals, pitches, engagement scoping, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations.
• Develop the Corporate Tax Advisory offering in response to regulatory developments and evolving client needs.
• Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities supporting practice growth and revenue objectives.
• Oversee engagement planning, resource allocation, technical review, documentation, and delivery timelines.
• Review material tax positions and ensure advice is technically robust, defensible, and commercially relevant.
• Monitor engagement economics, including fees, utilisation, realization, margins, and profitability.
• Contribute to revenue forecasting, annual planning, growth targets, and overall practice P&L performance.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Corporate Tax team.
• Develop managers and consultants through technical coaching, delegation, client exposure, and performance guidance.
• Stay current with UAE Corporate Tax developments, FTA guidance, Transfer Pricing requirements, and relevant GCC tax changes.
• Evaluate regulatory updates for client impact and convert emerging requirements into appropriate advisory opportunities.
• Coordinate with VAT, Transfer Pricing, finance, accounting, legal, and transaction specialists on multidisciplinary engagements.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate will be a senior Corporate Tax and International Tax professional with substantial UAE market experience and a strong understanding of Dubai's commercial environment. Advanced technical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax is essential. Exposure to Transfer Pricing, tax structuring, transactions, and cross-border advisory work will be highly valuable. Candidates should demonstrate a proven record of managing complex engagements and developing trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and other executive decision-makers. Experience gained within a Big 4 firm, leading professional services organization, or established tax advisory practice is preferred. Previous responsibility for business development, account expansion, practice building, or service-line management will provide a strong advantage. CA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred. The role requires strong commercial judgment, leadership presence, communication skills, and stakeholder‑management capability, together with the ability to balance technical quality, client expectations, team development, revenue growth, and profitability.
