URGENT HIRING LONG-TERM CORROSION ENGINEER
Location: Qatar - Onshore
Sofomation Energy is looking for an experienced Corrosion Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Qatar.
Work Schedule
8 hours per day 6 days per week
Key Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience
API 571 Damage Mechanisms
API 580 Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)
AMPP Senior Corrosion Technologist or AMPP Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist
Required Technical Expertise:
- Metallic & non-metallic material selection, metallurgy, and material substitutions
- Corrosion principles, corrosion protection, and corrosion management
- Pipeline inspection, maintenance, and internal corrosion control
- Static equipment integrity and in-service equipment inspection
- Cathodic protection (CP) and coating systems
- Chemical injection, corrosion inhibition, and corrosion monitoring
- Boiler and cooling water treatment
- High-pressure sour service corrosion engineering
- Material degradation, risk assessment, safety, and environmental compliance
Preferred Knowledge
- NACE MR0175 requirements
- Offshore cathodic protection systems
- Pipeline internal corrosion control design
- Offshore high-pressure sour service material selection
- Failure analysis
