Data Center Project Quality Engineer -Dubai

Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Quality Engineer to support quality control across the construction and delivery phase of data center projects. This role is responsible for construction quality planning, on-site inspections, non‑conformance management, contractor and supplier quality oversight, stage acceptance, and quality documentation to ensure project delivery meets customer requirements, applicable standards, and company quality expectations.

You will work closely with project and site teams while maintaining independent professional judgment on quality matters.

Responsibilities

• Support project quality planning, including preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), quality control points, and stage acceptance criteria.
• Conduct incoming inspections for equipment and materials, routine site inspections, and witness inspections for critical construction activities.
• Oversee quality control across electrical, HVAC, fire protection, ELV, and building automation systems.
• Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D and 5-Why, and drive corrective and preventive actions through closure.
• Perform quality inspections and process audits for contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and track improvement actions.
• Organize or participate in stage acceptance activities, including concealed works inspection, process acceptance, and sectional/subsection acceptance.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and as-built quality documentation to ensure completeness and traceability.
• Track key quality metrics and prepare regular quality reports to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
• Support quality witness activities during relevant commissioning and testing stages where required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality management, technical engineering, or site quality control in data centers, industrial MEP projects, power engineering, or related environments.
• Good understanding of MEP construction practices, installation methods, inspection requirements, and acceptance standards.
• Ability to read MEP drawings and understand system logic across electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and ELV/BA systems.
• Familiarity with quality systems and tools such as ISO 9001, ITP, NCR, 8D, and 5-Why.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively on site for extended periods.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred, with proficiency in Chinese considered a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center or mission-critical project quality management.
• Familiarity with standards such as GB 50174, Uptime Tier, or equivalent industry practices.
• Exposure to FAT, on-site commissioning, or Integrated Systems Testing (IST) quality witness activities.
• Relevant certifications in quality management, ISO auditing, construction, or project delivery.
