Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Delivery Director, Energy to lead major oil & gas and power projects from opportunity assessment and FEED through investment decision, execution, commissioning and start-up. The portfolio covers upstream, midstream, downstream, pipelines, refineries, petrochemicals and power generation .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical due diligence and project deliverability assessments.
- Direct pre-FEED and FEED activities.
- Develop project execution and contracting strategies.
- Lead/oversee EPC and EPCM tendering and delivery.
- Manage owner's oversight of engineering, procurement, construction, HSE, quality, changes and claims.
- Lead commissioning, start-up, performance testing and handover.
- Monitor project cost, schedule, risks and recovery plans.
Mandatory Requirements
- 15+ years in oil & gas capital projects , with strong experience in upstream, midstream and/or downstream.
- 5+ years as owner's Project Director, PMT Lead or Head of Projects.
- Must have led at least one USD 1bn+ asset through investment decision, execution and start-up as the owner's accountable lead.
- Strong pre-FEED, FEED and investment decision experience.
- Senior delivery experience with or alongside tier-one EPC contractors .
- Experience delivering projects in high-risk or post-conflict environments .
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering .
- Strong knowledge of FEL, AACE estimate classes, P50/P90, EPC/EPCM contracting, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, pre-start-up safety review and performance testing .
- Deep technical expertise in at least one major energy area, with sufficient working knowledge across the others to lead specialist teams
