The role

You would own the design solution across a client engagement end-to-end. That work starts before the brief, in the effort of framing what the actual problem is. It runs through information architecture, key decision moments, edge cases, and the invisible logic tying them together. And it continues past the handover into the health of the client relationship itself. You would be the person clients trust to sharpen their thinking rather than just deliver against it, and you would produce frameworks other people at Divami reuse without rework.

What you’ll own

• Client success, not just deliverables. You measure your work by renewal, expansion, and satisfaction rather than by whether the file was handed off on time. Accounts grow because of your ownership.
• The problem before the solution. You proactively close gaps in user or business understanding before anyone flags them. If something is fuzzy, you name it and go after it, rather than waiting for the brief to catch up.
• The whole solution, not just the screens. Information architecture, key decision moments, edge cases, empty states, and the invisible logic tying them together.
• Direction, not just execution. You shape client or product direction through design thinking and innovation judgment. When the situation calls for it, you push for disruptive or category-defining solutions rather than defending against safe defaults.
• Design rationale others can rely on. You document trade-offs, decisions, and the reasoning behind them so the next person on the account is not starting from zero.
• Reusable IP. You produce frameworks, patterns, and playbooks that other designers at Divami pick up and use as they are. Your work compounds beyond your own engagements.
• The room. You handle direct client pushback with reasoning rather than defensiveness. You walk into leadership presentations without a safety net and walk out with alignment.
• The bench. You coach other designers in business-first thinking, disruptive versus incremental framing, and client handling. Designers around you level up because you are on the account.

How you’ll think

• Problems get sharpened before they get solved. You find the 20 percent that drives 80 percent of the value, and you name it clearly enough that everyone on the account can see the same problem.
• Outcomes are visible at the moment of decision. Every screen should tell the user and the business what happens next, and why. If the outcome is invisible, the design is not done.
• Reasoning is portable. Trade-offs get documented, decisions get explained, and the thinking behind a call is captured so the next person picks up where you left off.
• Disruptive or incremental is a choice, not a default. You know when to push for the category-defining answer and when the safe one is genuinely the right call. You can defend both.
• Client success is a design metric. Renewal, expansion, and satisfaction sit inside how you measure your own work, not outside it.
• Multiplication over addition. Your best work compounds through the frameworks others use, not through the individual files you personally shipped.

The craft

• UX and product design mastery. Information architecture, interaction patterns, decision flows, edge cases, and design systems. Craft you can defend on principle rather than just on intuition.
• Business fluency. Reading the shape of a business, sizing an opportunity, and sizing the risk of a design choice. You can talk to a CXO in their language, not just yours.
• Facilitation. Workshops, alignment sessions, and co-creation with clients. You can hold a room when the room disagrees.
• Executive presence. Walking a leadership team through a hard call without breaking rapport, and reframing the conversation when the reasoning holds up.
• Framework thinking. Turning specific learnings from one engagement into reusable IP that helps the whole practice get better.
• Written and visual communication that lands. Strategy docs, decision memos, walkthroughs, and slides that carry an argument on their own.

Signals we look for

These are patterns we watch for in how you talk about past work rather than items to tick off a checklist.

• You describe a project by its client outcome. The deliverable list is the least interesting part of the story you tell.
• You can point to a moment you disagreed with a client. You held the line with reasoning, and it changed the direction of the work.
• You have produced something others still use. A framework, a playbook, a decision pattern, or a system that other designers pick up without rework.
• When you describe ambiguity, you describe how you closed it, not how you flagged it.
• You have a view on when to build the incremental thing and when to push for the disruptive one. You can defend both calls.
• You measure your work by what happened after it shipped, not by how it looked at handoff.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years designing digital products across SaaS, enterprise, fintech, or platforms with real complexity. Meaningful time in senior IC or lead roles.
• A portfolio of decisions, not just artifacts. Case studies that show how you moved from an ambiguous problem to a shipped solution, and where you traded off.
• Evidence of account ownership. Concrete examples of relationships you grew, renewed, or expanded because of how you showed up, not just because of what you shipped.
• Executive-room confidence. You can present to a CXO, hear a hard pushback, and respond with reasoning that reframes the conversation without getting defensive.
