Director, Operations

The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day operational activities and implement strategies to support efficient order fulfillment, transportation, contract manufacturing, warehousing, inventory management, procurement and product development. This role will work closely with management, sales and accounting to meet customer demand, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilties

• Oversee sales order processing and fulfillment
• Manage contract manufacturing and production planning
• Lead inventory management and procurement activities
• Oversee supply chain, warehousing and distribution operations
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiations
• Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Lead product development initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Monitor operational performance, costs and key performance indicators
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and margins
• Collaborate cross-functionally with management, sales, accounting and other teams
• Ensure operational processes support customer demand and business objectives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or operations
• Experience with contract manufacturing, project management, cost accounting, quality and regulatory functions; S&OP/demand planning, warehousing and distribution, inventory management and procurement
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, business or a related field
• Experience within the CPG industry required
• Experience in a high-growth or emerging business environment preferred
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and functions
• Experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts
• Strong knowledge of CPG and warehouse operations best practices and KPIs
• Proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word Intermediate Excel skills, including formatting, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
