Extrusion Operator
Topeka, IN | $24.76-$27.03/hr | 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company in Topeka, IN, that produces specialized materials for the automotive industry. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Extrusion Operators to join their team.
This is an opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. Operators will run production equipment, monitor product specifications, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain production goals.

Extrusion Operator Job Summary:
· Pay: $24.76-$27.03/hr , depending on shift and experience
· 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
· 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
· 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM
· Overtime as needed
· Set up and operate extrusion equipment and production lines
· Read production schedules, technical standards, and work instructions
· Adjust machine settings, oven temperatures, and extruder temperatures as needed
· Monitor product quality, including density, airholes, gas hole placement, and silicone application
· Perform routine inspections and make adjustments to maintain product specifications
· Troubleshoot production issues and help resolve equipment or quality concerns
· Operate a forklift to move materials
· Complete production paperwork, including scrap, attainment, and efficiency reports
· Train associates on work instructions and production procedures as needed
· Stop production when necessary to address quality concerns
· Follow all workplace safety, food safety where applicable, and quality procedures

Extrusion Operator Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
· Manufacturing, extrusion, or machine operation experience preferred
· Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Forklift experience preferred
· Ability to read and follow written instructions, technical documents, and safety procedures
· Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
· Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
· Ability to stand for up to 12 hours, depending on production needs
· Ability to walk, reach, and handle materials throughout the shift
· Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to identify product defects and recognize when adjustments are needed
