Finance Director Middle East Africa and Russia

Reporting to Intercontinental Area Finance Director the MEAR Finance Director provides financial leadership to the business plays a key role in establishing and achieving financial objectives as well as in formulating and executing on business strategies. This role partners with the Affiliate Management Team to balance longterm strategies with nearterm business needs.

Additionally is responsible for ensuring that there are internal controls in place to adequately safeguard the companys assets and to ensure that the companys financial reporting and general business practices are in compliance with company financial policies official requirements and generally accepted accounting principles.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the Affiliate Management Team Area Finance Director and Centers of Excellence platforms to meet worldwide financial commitments by providing financial insights and recommendations that will lead to effective business decisions.

• Closely work with the Tax CoE to ensure deep understanding of the specificities of the Middle East Africa and Russian (MEAR) Tax environments and incorporate these aspects in the daily decisionmaking process.  

• Analyze business agreements and general contracts to ensure they make sound financial and business sense.

• Ensure that financial controls are in place to provide for adequate protection of the MEAR affiliates assets and for the accurate and timely reporting of financial results in compliance with company policies and regulated reporting requirements. MEAR Affiliate operates under SoX environment.

• Acting as Host actively manage the ABVAGN relationship

• Be an active and integral member of the Affiliate Management Team which includes presenting the financial operating results of the business providing advice and support to the other team members being actively involved in the decisionmaking process contributing to the development and implementation of the business strategy.

• Oversee the financial planning and analysis functions while providing guidance and direction to a team of 20 dedicated finance professionals. EHS Facilities as well as Customer Service are also under the responsibility of the MEAR Finance Director.

• Coordinate the preparation of the annual LongRange Plan annual Plan annual Update monthly Latest Best Estimates to ensure that they are achievable and consistent with overall business and Area objectives.

• Coordinate a solid S&OP process to ensure strong alignment with Supply and Operations.

• Ensure that the analytical and reporting requirements are met in a high quality and timely manner.

• Create an environment that attracts retains and motivates a diverse and highly talented workforce.

• Select coach develop individuals for high performance and ensure that the MEAR finance organization is adequately staffed with highly competent individuals.

Qualifications :

• A degree in accounting finance or economics is required (Masters Degree or equivalent experience highly desirable); CPA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 10 15 years of relevant experience; broad exposure to all aspects of finance and business with emphasis on financial planning analysis internal controls talent management and business partnering.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; Fluency in English is a must.
• Candidate must be highly proficient working with MS Office tools; SAP CTE/Concur HFM and TM1 preferred.
