Job Overview

WorkWavez Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer - IBM Portal & Java to support enterprise portal applications and backend integrations in Doha, Qatar. The role requires strong Java/J2EE development experience and practical knowledge of IBM WebSphere Portal or HCL Portal, particularly for developing and maintaining portal-based and portlet-driven applications.

The successful candidate will work with portal pages, themes, layouts, and JSR 168/286 portlets, alongside frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The position also involves integrating enterprise applications through REST and SOAP web services, working with relational databases such as Oracle or DB2, and managing source code through Bitbucket.

Candidates should bring strong troubleshooting and enterprise application support skills. Experience with JasperReports/JasperSoft, WebSphere Application Server, production support, or government-sector projects is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support enterprise portal applications using Java/J2EE.
• Work with IBM WebSphere Portal or HCL Portal environments.
• Build and maintain portal-based and portlet-driven applications.
• Develop and support JSR 168/286 portlets, portal pages, themes, and layouts.
• Implement and maintain frontend components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate portal applications with backend systems through REST and SOAP web services.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle and DB2.
• Use Bitbucket for source control and code management.
• Troubleshoot enterprise application issues and support application stability.
• Collaborate with relevant technical teams to investigate and resolve integration or development issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong hands-on Java/J2EE development experience.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere Portal or HCL Portal.
• Experience developing portal-based and portlet-driven applications.
• Knowledge of JSR 168/286 portlets, portal pages, themes, and layouts.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services and backend integration.
• Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle or DB2.
• Experience using Bitbucket for source control.
• Strong troubleshooting and enterprise application support skills.
