Full-time Interim Legal Operations and Spend Management Professional

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has a need for a Full-time Interim Legal Operations and Spend Management Professional for the next 3 months with possibility of extension.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced interim Legal Operations and Spend Management professional to provide immediate support to a corporate legal department during a period of legal operations modernization and near-term staffing transition. This role will focus on hands-on legal operations execution, including Legal Tracker administration, legal spend management, invoice and PO management, reporting, accruals, and process improvement.

The legal team is focused on improving efficiency, reducing administrative burden on attorneys, modernizing legal service delivery, and strengthening its use of legal operations technology and processes.

Experience (Required)

• Significant Legal Tracker experience, including system administration and matter management
• Legal operations experience within a corporate legal department or comparable environment
• Legal spend management experience
• Experience with invoice processing, PO management, reporting, and/or accruals
• Ability to improve legal operations processes, workflows, and backend systems

Additional “Nice to Have” Experience

• Paralegal experience, particularly with invoicing and PO management
• Accruals and legal operations reporting experience
• Experience supporting legal technology implementations or rollouts
• Experience with legal AI tools or comparable legal technology platforms such as Eudia
• Project management experience within a legal operations or ERM environment

Location

• Remote role
• Full-time availability preferred
• Three-month interim assignment with an urgent start

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Legal Tracker, including opening and closing matters and organizing matter records
• Support legal spend management, invoice processing, PO management, reporting, and accruals
• Improve workflows and backend processes within Legal Tracker and related legal operations systems
• Work with internal legal team members and vendor support resources to troubleshoot system and process issues
• Assist with reporting, analytics, operational research, process documentation, and technology-related projects
• Provide limited executive and administrative support as needed, including signature coordination, document tracking, and organizational chart support

• Ability to start quickly and provide immediate operational support
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing detailed legal operations processes
• Proactive, independent working style with the ability to connect short-term execution to longer-term workflow impact
• Comfort working in a fast-moving legal department with evolving needs
• Laptop provided by client

Pay rate: $60+

Individual compensation offered for this position within the pay range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
